On behalf of the Brotherhood committee we sincerely thank all the Rhodian community of Melbourne and supporters for helping us deliver a ‘State Of The Art Venue’.
Our infrastructure & rejuvenation program was an ambitious plan, one may call it Colossal, a plan the Brotherhood committee was determined to deliver.
Amidst a festive atmosphere and the presence of many officials, the inauguration of the new building of the Rhodian Brotherhood of Melbourne and Victoria Diagoras was held on Sunday, 17 November 2019.
Our official guests included:
Father Leonidas Ioannou from Coburg Church conducting the blessing of the new premises;
Mr Dimitrios Michalopoulos, The Consul General of Greece in Melbourne; and
Ms Maria Vamvanikou, Federal Member of Calwell.
We were also honoured to receive a via message from Mr Konstantinos Tarasilias, Vice Mayor of Rhodes, responsible for Tourism, Cultural and International Affairs.
The Committee is now proud to announce that the new premises is ‘open for business’ at the new location 46 Straker Street, North Melbourne.
Our new facility will host:
all future Brotherhood activities and events;
be available for Public Hire. The venue is fully licenced till 3.00am, 7 days a week and has an onsite commercial kitchen to cater for a variety of corporate events, theatre shows, live music events and a variety of private functions such as Weddings or formal occasions.
